Makeup. It's something I've been fascinated by since I was little. I've tried tons of different brands over the years and have found a lot of duds and a lot of favorites that I will probably nevery stray from. For me, I like finding items that will work for me year round - in terms of colors and coverage. I get asked frequently what my favorites are, so today, I'm sharing my 3 Makeup Must-Haves with you. First and FOREMOST. You NEED a good foundation for that precious face of yours. I have tried countless ones over the year and absolutely NOTHING compates to It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. This was one of those products that I researched like crazy. I'd tried CC creams from the drug store and was never impressed. How would this one be any different? I read blogs. I read reviews. And after over a year of researching, I pulled the trigger and ordered it. It didn't disappoint. I struggle with oily and acne prone skin, so anytime I would put my makeup on, I would never put any skincare items on first (like moisturizer) because it seems like my face would only end up looking really greasy and my makeup would fall off by the end of the day. With this CC cream, it's your skincare, your SPF, your primer & your foundation all in one. Why do I love it? First, it feels like I'm wearing nothing. You know how when you put on makeup and at the end of the day you can't wait to wash your face because you hate the feeling of having all of that makeup on? Well, confession: I've actually slept in this makeup. I forget I have it on. It feels so light - like you're wearing nothing at all. Second, the coverage is PERFECT. It covers flaws, evens out skintone & makes your skin look airbrushed - or like you're wearing nothing at all and just have really amazing skin. It really is THAT GOOD. It also doesn't break me out - even when I'm bad and fall asleep in my makeup. I've gone through quite a few tubes of this and it's, hands down, the best foundation I've ever used. Period. You can grab yours here.

Second, a great eyeshadow palette is a great investment. You'll get a variety of shaded and colors that will work for you YEAR ROUND. Even if you don't use every color in the palette, it will probably still save you money to get it vs. buying single eyeshadows. I have a few "go to" palettes that I love. It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Celebration palette was a limited edition palette released in 2014. A very similar option would be the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 palette or the BRAND NEW It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Romantics palette. All of these palettes are matte eyeshadows, but they all contain a "transforming" color that can take them from matte to metallic/shimmer. My other all time favorite is the Urban Decay Naked palette. They've released a few "sequels" to this one, but the original is still my favorite. This palette has a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter shadows that look great on any and every skin tone.

Finally, blush. I have searched high and low for a blush that looks natural. I found one at the end of last year, completely on accident. For a few years, my favorite had been Benefit's Bella Bamba blush...which they discontinued. It was a holographic pop of pink and looked great on. So, I stumbled into Ulta, sad, knowing that Bella Bamba was no longer. I hit the Benefit counter and came across Rockateur. It is THE MOST beautiful and natural rose gold color with the slightest shimmer. I haven't stopped using it since I got it. It's highly pigmented, so a little will go a long way and it just gives you the most beautiful & natural wash of color.

So, there you have it!!! If you've used these products, I'd love to hear what you think about them, too!!!
