Beauty Buzz: Spring Cosmetic Must Haves

If you saw my Facebook post last night, you saw me post about an amazing deal on one of my all time FAVORITE products - It Cosmetics CC Cream. I started using this product over a year and a half ago and have essintially sworn off any other foundation because this one is JUST SO GOOD! Take a look at these pictures. Recently, I was in Cancun and got a pretty nasty sunburn. The picture on the left was taken on April 19 and I haven't got any makeup on. You can see I'm really burnt and really red. The picture on the right was taken THE NIGHT BEFORE. Yes, the sunburn is there, but the CC Cream completely covered it without looking "made up" or like I was wearing a ton of make up. This product is truly amazing.

I'm also OBSESSED with another product that I recently got from It Cosmetics. I'd been using their Brow Power pencil to fill in my brows, but when it ran out, I needed a replacement. I decided to give the Build-A-Brow Waterproof 5-In-1 Micro-Fiber Crème Stain a try. Oh. Em. Gee!!! I'm so in love with this product. I've tried a similar product in the past and didn't really like it, but this one is so much better. It goes on like butter - so silky and smooth. It's easy to apply and blend. Not only does it fill your brows in, but it holds them in place too!
Next up is a new mascara. Now, I've been a loyal Lancome user since 2001. I've tried various mascaras during that time, but most end up in the trash because they don't come close to my favorite - Lancome Hypnose Star. I received Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' mascara as a free gift, so I was really excited when I saw how nicely it goes on & how my lashes look with it. The brush is amazing. It makes your lashes look long & fluffy and I haven't had any clumps. And it's got staying power - it can survive a high intensity cardio session without running all down my face. This is definitely my new favorite mascara.
And finally, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush. I'd used and LOVED the Ambient Lighting Palette, so I was excited to give the blush a try when it was time for me to get a new blush. I'd finally used up one of my favorites (Benefit Bella Bamba blush) and since it was discontinued, I was looking for a replacement. I ordered the blush in Ethereal Glow (which is a cool pink). At first, I was disappointed. I have very fair skin and this barely showed up on it. I'd thought about sending it back, but I wanted to play around with it a bit more. And I found the perfect blush combo. I started using the Hourglass blush on top of my Benefit Rockateur to help blend it and look more natural and I LOVE the combo of these 2 blushes. This shade of the blush is definitely more like a highlighting powder than a blush, but is still a great product.
