I know. It's been a while since I've done a blog post. Between the hustle & bustle of the holidays, parties, school, speech therapy for the boys and on top of that all, we've been sick for so long - life kind of got in the way (and kicked my butt a bit, too). But, I figured what better way to start off the blog this year than to feature one of my new favorite products - Simple Sugars Scrubs.

Simple Sugars Scrubs

You may have seen Simple Sugars on Shark Tank & the founder, Lani Lazzari, is a fellow Pittsburgher. I'm always on the hunt for a great scrub - whether it be for body, face or feet. And out of all of the ones I've tried - these are currently my favorite. I stumbled upon them at my local grocery store & decided to give them a go & I wasn't disappointed. The skin on my body has always been dry and sensitive - not a great combo. There's a lot of products out there that have so many chemicals and perfumes that it wreaks havoc on my skin & ends up making it more irritated. I've used the Simple Sugars Body Scrub on my legs a few times and have been so pleased with the results. My legs feel soft, smooth and no irritation.

My feet have always been dry and flaky (paints quite the picture doesn't it). And with years and years of running and high impact cardio, my feet have also taken a beating and never looked great, but I didn't care - because my tennis shoes always covered them up. Well, now that a majority of my workouts are done barefoot - I wanted pretty feet to look at! This Peppermint Happy Feet Foot Scub is delicious. First, it smells AMAZING. Second, I love how well it exfoliates my feet AND moisturizes them - all in one step. Did I mention how good it smells???

Now, to my face. Always the opposite of my body. Extremely oily, and not very sensitive. For years, I suffered from REALLY bad acne. So, I had lots of scarring and breakouts on a regular basis (and sun damage from all those years of laying out). Now that I've been using better cosmetics (It Cosmetics), my skin has greatly improved. But I still like to exfoliate it once or twice a week. Some of you know that I decided to give up coffee at the end of last year. I still have an occasional cup now and then, but I instantly can feel the horrible side effects on my body. But, there's not many smells I love more than the smell of coffee. Well, now I can get my fix with the Coffee Facial Scrub. For those of you, like me, who still have skin on the oily side, do not freak out that there's oil in the scrub. It's good oil. After using this on your face, it will feel soft and smooth - not greasy at all! And, for me, I love a scrub with some substance to it. I've used scrubs in the past and I question how they can even call it a scrub because there's barely any kind of exfoliant at all. This has some grit to it - in a good way!

I'm so happy that I've found these awesome scrubs and that I can support a home town girl in the process. If you've been thinking of trying these - go for it! You won't be disappointed!!!
