PiYo Week 6

This week was an exciting week in PiYo for me for a few reasons.
First, I had a huge NSV (non-scale victory). When I started my PiYo journey 6 weeks ago, I had exactly 1 pair of shorts that fit me. They weren't crazy tight, but didn't exactly fit comfortably either. When I put those same pair of shorts on this week, they had become so loose that I could pull them off without having to unbutton & unzipper them. This type of victory is why I tell all of my clients that they need to have multiple forms of measurement and to not rely solely on the scale. You're going to have weeks where the scale may not move much or may not move at all, but that doesn't mean that your body isn't changing. Taking your measurements and using clothing is an excellent way to track your progress.
Second, I'm starting to feel almost graceful. I'm an incredibly clumsy person. I wish I would have taken video of me doing PiYo my first week because I was falling all over the place. I didn't think I'd ever be able to nail some of the poses without tipping over or wobbling. This week, I noticed an increase in my balance and stability - even when barefoot. My entire body is becoming stronger. So, not only am I able to do more, but I'm able to do it better and transition from one pose to the next with a slight grace.
Third, it wasn't a huge loss, but I still did lose this week. I lost 0.8 pounds which brings my total to 12.2 pounds lost in these 6 weeks. I did have a few cheats this week (2 slices of pizza and a cookie), but other than that, I've stuck completely to the PiYo nutrition plan - which is super easy and keeps me full.
I'm excited to see what kind of results these final 2 weeks bring, so stay tuned!!!
